Project Overview

Tevaplanter is an innovative product featuring a self-watering planter pot. Successfully funded on Kickstarter, Tevaplanter is now sold worldwide. In this project, my responsibility was to enhance the website’s conversion rate through CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) analysis.

Challenge & Objective :

The primary challenge was to increase sales by upgrading the website and making it more intuitive. Additionally, we aimed to boost engagement through a redesigned newsletter.

Phase 1 CRO Analysis and Implementation

In this phase, I conducted a thorough CRO analysis using a comprehensive checklist. The key steps included:

  • User Behavior Analysis: Utilizing tools like Google Analytics and heatmaps to understand user interactions and identify drop-off points.

  • A/B Testing: Running A/B tests on various website elements such as call-to-action buttons, product pages, and checkout processes to determine the most effective designs.

  • Customer Feedback: Collecting and analyzing customer feedback to identify pain points and areas for improvement.

  • Competitor Analysis: Reviewing competitor websites to understand industry standards and identify potential improvements.

Phase 2: Design Implementation

Based on the insights from the CRO analysis, I implemented the following design changes:

  • Enhanced UI Design: Redesigning the user interface to be more visually appealing and user-friendly.

  • Streamlined Navigation: Simplifying the navigation structure to ensure users can easily find products and complete purchases.

  • Optimized Checkout Process: Reducing the number of steps in the checkout process to minimize cart abandonment.

  • Responsive Design: Ensuring the website is fully responsive and provides a seamless experience across all devices.

  • Engaging Content: Creating compelling content that highlights the unique features and benefits of Tevaplanter.

Results and Additional Tasks

The revamped website led to a significant increase in conversions, with sales improving by up to 80%. Additionally, we maintained and engaged our current market by designing over 100 newsletter templates. These newsletters featured interesting promotions, tips, and trivia about maintaining plants with Tevaplanter, further enhancing customer satisfaction and retention.
